Northampton Saints continue charge!

21st November 2009

Northampton Saints continued their fine form in the Guiness Premiership by defeating Harlequins 26-17 at Franklin's Gardens today. The Saints produced a dominant first-half which really secured the game despite a second-half rally from the visitors. Stephen Myler kicked exceptionally well - including a successful penalty kick from five metres inside his own half in fairly breezey conditions. Soane Tonga'uiha, the big Tonga forward for Northampton, was awarded Man-of-the-Match for his strong play in the pack, and Courtney Lawes came back fresh from his England debut against Australia to give the home fans something extra to shout about!

It all looks good for the Saints as they climb to 3rd position. They will be looking to see out a tough away trip to Newcastle next week and hit December full steam ahead!
